We

We is a fast-paced 64 minute documentary that covers the world politics of power, war, corporations, deception and exploitation.

It visualizes the words of Arundhati Roy, specifically her famous "Come September" speech, where she spoke on such things as the war on terror, corporate globalization, justice and the growing civil unrest.

If I were to pinpoint one moment when my political consciousness changed from "us and them" to "we" is when I first heard A. Roy's speech on Democracy Now. Maybe because I was sitting alone in my car outside my house, I was deeply moved. I knew if i wanted to be a part of this effort, there is already a thriving community of intelligent and innovative people. That was comforting because I remembered when I was introduced to social issues, I constantly felt hopelessness and frustration. The only way this movement, or any effort, is able to sustain itself is to renew itself with inspiration.

but more importantly, A. Roy is a style icon. I was determined to look half as sophisticated/cute in her haircut.
